This year's Summer Solstice Celebration will begin on June 14th. Event areas and associated quests will be available for a whole week, with the celebration wrapping up on the summer solstice, which is June 21st.
There will be three event areas of varying degrees of difficulty, with content appropriate for both newbie and high level players alike. This year's theme is "Trial By Fire", and the three events feature an obstacle course, a puzzle quest, and a survival quest.

Is there a means of playing this using the IPhone? I've never played MUDS
before, so have no idea how to set one up, or what to do with it in general, but
this sounds like an interesting game.
There are definitely mud clients available for iOS devices, but things get a bit tricky for you if you're not a fast typist on either the iPhone keyboard or one of the third party keyboards, since for pretty much any mud, the likelihood of your typing in commands like spells, attacks and the like, as well as says or tells is extremely high. I think most of the people who constantly play muds using their phones or any other I device use a Bluetooth keyboard.
Ok, scratch that thought then, I'm not the world's greatest typist when it comes
to the IPhone, and envy the heck out of those in the sighted community who
are lol.
